Free Pattern Friday – Outside the Block

I really, really like this terrific quilt… it’s so fresh and modern looking. Outside the Block is one of those quilts that is just too easy to believe. Corey Yoder created this quilt using the Color Weave fabric collection by P&B Textiles.

“Outside the Block” by Corey Yoder

Corey added dimension to her quilt by arranged the colors so the squares appear to be laying on top of each other; then she rotated the blocks to create a lot of motion. You could easily make this 56″ square quilt larger by adding more blocks. For the “top” square, you could use a novely print  … or, instead of a square, make an 8″ block. Oh, think of the possibilities … I could go on and on!!

Happy Friday!! ~Nancy
