Whirling Daisies

I’ve been tingling with anticipation… running to the mail box every day… checking the magazine section in every store… until, finally, it arrived on my doorstep. What was I waiting for? The newest issue of Best Fat Quarter Quilts from Quilter’s Newsletter magazine with my Whirling Daisies quilt on page 12.

It all seems a bit silly now, but I really, really like this quilt and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. I used fabrics from several collections by P&B Textiles to create this bright and happy quilt. And, the pieced border is oh-so-easy.

My design inspiration was a 1930s quilt from my vintage quilt collection. I love the graphic design in this quilt! Although, I don’t know the name of the block, the flowers remind me of little Dresden Plates, so I named this quilt Dresden Daisy.
